Just got home from the dealership, looking into new 2 door Wrangler. As usually can only get what the dealer wants to give you, not what YOU want (Detonator Yellow). Trying to get soft top/half doors and full doors/hard top option. Ain't happenin'!!! Get one or the other (or soft/hard top with full doors).
Sales rep says you can get half doors outta the US from Mopar, but the site looks like its only a parts supply, (ie to have to buy all the separate parts and build the doors). Anybody know what the sales rep is talking about or am I on the wrong spot on the web site?

 

Mopar offers a half door kit. The only additional parts needed are the interior trim panels and upper windows.

 

Check out rugged ridge. They are coming out with half doors that are a fraction of the price of the mopars.

 

I recall reading somewhere that half doors are not legal here. But that might have been only where it wasn't factory option. Good place for research. And try a different dealer. You might have to wait for it to be built.

 

Hey guys. I have an 09 Wrangler X that NEXT winter when I get back to my own shop I'm going to build fiberglass half doors that'll be REALLY good looking. Planning on using stock mirrors and door handles but just not sure what to do for the window part...any suggestions ? I'm going to look right now at other manufacturers top part.

 

I would suggest the Element doors that have a removable outer skin and adaptable uppers with soft windows. Much cheaper then Mopar factory equipment. Not sure if it was Quadratec or 4 Wheel Hardware where I saw them. I'll have to check..
