Where do the two elastic bands (closed loop) with the female snap button fit?

Even the dealer didn't know (the mechanic, not the "know nothing" salesman).

On the inside of the soft top above the rear window, you with actually see the snaps location. "Storage" once rolled up for the rear window.

A word of caution though. Rolling up the rear window and holding it up by the straps is a quick way of scratching it. Learned that the hard way on my '08. Now I just remove it entirely...and just fight with the zipper instead.....DOH. Just cant win.

Sorry to hear that, good luck. If the the GM doesn't budge...call Jeep HQ Customer service from their show room, and talk really LOUD let everyone in the showroom know you gotta a issue with the dealer, not the product.
