Default $1000 to spend?

What would you modify on your jeep if you were going to modify? Bumbers? winch? fender flares?

Thoughts?

That's a good question! Everyone might have a different opinion on this one because not all Jeepers are looking for the same thing. I guess it depends on what you are doing or planning to do with your machine. Personally I bought my new Jeep to go play off the pavement. Since it is a 2012 and I got it financed, I am limited in my budget and will take one step at a time. I hope to keep this vehicle at least 10 years!

My priority is protection. Don't want to break an important part of my investment too soon so I have skid plates all under, fortunately for me, most of them came with the Jeep right out the box :) Evap canister, transfer case, fuel tank, control arms.

After protecting what is under, self recovery is my second priority. Hi-Lift jack, tow straps, and a winch (which is my next purchase!!).

Can't wait to put on new bumpers, but I will wait till I break it on a tree, a rock or something else. lol

So you should think of what you really need and want and start from there. I wish you happy spending buddy!!

I think there are a lot of us in the same boat. I have a 2011 Unlimited JK with 16 inch rims and 315/75r Pro Comp Extreme tri plys. I only put a 1.5 inch levelling kit on it as well so I don't void the warranty. I would like to raise it up, but so for it has not given me trouble in the bush. The only issue is my tires touch the fenders when I am in sticky situations. Flat Fender flares might change that?

I have all the chrome off and black replacements so it looks good and performs like a Jeep, but I too have stock bumpers. I'm lucky to go out with other Jeeps with winches, but I screwed up my back bumper, and thought it might be a good excuse to get a tire carrying bumper OR a front bumper with a winch?

Then I saw those Bushwacker flat style fenders - that's why I posted the question.

I think you helped me prioritize what I need, rather than what I want.

I would get a stock steering box rebuilt and upgraded by PSC and their sector shaft brace. if theres a few bucks left over i would paint my center caps on the wheels.

Depends on what your jeep is like now? Is it stock?

Hey DC jeep, aside from the big tires and pro comp matt black rims, and the leveling kit, it is stock. I got a great deal on the Rough Country flat fender flares, and they go on tomorrow. I'll post some before and after pics for you tomorrow.

I change my answer about the PSC built box, I would order this.
