thanks for that. I have been looking into their kits. there is sometimes a biased opinion abotu these kits out there regardingon different forums. The good and bad as I have read just about as many good vs bad about there lift kits. the main complaint is not enough caster adjustment?
I talked with them and they seem very straight up. I thought of doing a 4" lift and fender cutouts. Iceland -

I tow so a gear change will be in order. anyone know what gearing should be run? When I tow it is about 3500lbs max and not often, so gearing to make the most of motor for MPG would be ok.

33's are best bet. Only thing is, you will want to use the flares. It keeps you legal from the picky police. 35's will rub, pretty much no matter what you do, unless you aggressivley cut your fenders up. But in all honesty, 35's look awesome. Hopefully, you have 3.73 gears, or lower to compensate for your larger digs.
Caster problems can be addressed by adding caster/camber bolts to the subframe side, and elongating the holes. fabricating a stop into the mount bracket. I can't find the pix I have for this Mod (cleaned my PC up, may have deleted).

no I have not bought one yet. either the 6.5" long arm or 4"long arm (both front long arm only kits). I perfer the 4" but to run 35" is dependent upon the flare cutout kit I am getting which is not available yet. coming soon! in OCTOBER they say. getting from Berserk Offroad or Iceland offroad

well hopefully with long arm front and 4" lift that wont be an issue. Your right there is complaints about not enough caster. either it is biased or perhaps that is with the 6.5" kits only or the same has been corrected in later kits. I will let you all know.... in spring!

If you want to run 35" your going to need to go to 6" even with the iceland flares, the IRO 4"-6" kits are very good.
For gearing if you want to run 33" then 4.10's will put you back to stock, if you want to go to 35" then you need to go to 4.56's and should start looking at a locker for the rear. If you have the 35 rear axle with 35" tires you should also think about the Super 35 kit while your re-gearing unless your planning on going extremely slow on the rough terrain.

thanks for info on gearing.
why a locker for the rear? that would make it tougher for the rearend to survive without breaking.
I have a D-44-A. the system is a quadradrive2 but I am looking into putting a NP242 HD in from a Ram. if that is possible then I believe that would be a sweet set-up. I love select trac. had it in my 87 cherokee. for my kind of wheeling you just cant beat it.
if it were not a DD then I would just go with a 231. but the 242HD would be stronger than a 231 and wheeling with AWD with tight turns is easier on axles as well.
When I wheel I will drive 2wd for what ever I can and then step it up. Low does get used but not really 100% of the time. Especially with V-8 torque and proper gearing I wont need low for everything. I mainly wheel on rocks and in deep snow.
Locker is tempting but I would like to see how the stock LSD front and back work out. I dont expect success from what I have read on forums, but it wont hurt to try it out and see the limitations first hand. IMO.
