Vibration while in gear only
This is not your typical vibration at 45-xx mph or your I cut off my exhasut now there is sound that resonates through the vehicle et.c
While in any forward gear I have a vibration that can be felt through the brake pedal and to a lesser extent through the wheel.
If I take my Jeep out of drive and put it into neutral the vibration goes away.
any idea what would be causing this? Its not really noticeable while moving, I only notice it while stopped.
Motor/tranny/tcase mounts are all good, exhaust hangers are all good.

Re: Vibration while in gear only
This could be anything, sadly there's not enough info to tell you. Take it to a shop, and have them look at it. If the tech says there's nothing wrong, take him out and make the truck vibrate. This could range from a U-joint with a bad cap, to a misfire in the engine, that isn't noticeable till under load. Check and make sure your fluids are topped up, possibly even low diff fluid is a culprit (dry bearing gone bad). OD in the tranny could be mis-shifting, torque converter lockup could be fluttering, TCC switch could be going bad, brake switch may even be effecting the ECMs transmission data.
Literally, theres so many things, right down to the tires that can cause this. I had an '05 GMC pickup come in that vibrated at 1250-1325 RPM, it seemed to be the right resonance for the catalytic converter to shake the fillings out of your teeth. But the orginal complaint was the truck made noise(vibration) at 70 KPH.
