took off the back panel and saw NOTHING in green connecter.... pics to follow.......

Took off the back-side panel (drivers side), and this is what i saw: as i said, when i put a tester light to the cables, using white as ground, LHS, RHS and lites all worked ok.
should I/do i need to/ are or my ok as is just using connecters onto a new 4-flat?

Just solder a new connector onto the existing wires on the outside of your jeep. From your orginal pictures it appears that a connect had been there before and has been cut off.

thought i was missing a part due to the empty green connection box

What happens the RED cable?, will i just snip it, or does it merge with another cable?
