My biggest suggestion is to find good experienced people to wheel with and learn all you can. From that make a call as to how far you want to go with this machine and build it to suit. If you get into it big time, you may find you want to go to a dedicated trail rig and a DD or just try and keep it as one vehicle. I used to beat my XJ every weekend and then worry about getting it to work Monday, now, I do not worry. However, I know most people with WJ's are not looking to beat them that hard, but some times things beyond your control happen. This is where the wheeling with good people comes in, you can learn without making the mistakes yourself.

 

My WJ will be dedicated to this, its not my daily driver so im not worry...but everyone is telling me to sell it and get a XJ, however, I'm in love with the 4.7...it' be a bad divorce ;-)
