Pure vanity exercise this question:

I hate looking at the antique cd/cassette player in my '99 Grand Cherokee.....
If i got a just cd player from a scrap yard from between '99-'04, and the connectors and the back (if necessary), would it fit? I don't want to loose my finger-tip controls, hence not buying a standard stereo and bezel piece.

If it's a good reputable store they should have a catalog of compatible vehicles so you don't lose the steering wheel controls. Check out www.wjjeeps.com in the stereo section it gives you some tips on what you'll need if you what to do it your self.
