Shimmy Questions ?
Good morning,
I have a question about my 2004 Grand Cherokee. When I press on the gas and the rpms hit around 2000 I start to get quite a bad shimmy .. You can feel it in the floor boards not the steering wheel .. which makes me believe it is an engine mount ? Has anyone had similar problems .. I will be taking it in for a check up but just wnat to try and figure it out beforehand.
When I take my foot off the accelerator there is no shimmy.
thanks all
Bane

Re: Shimmy Questions ?
definetly sounds like a motor mount, i've explained it to people as feeling like a foot massager while accelerating...
might want to block your wheels, e-brake, put your jeep in neutral, and give it a little rev from under the hood so you can see if an engine mount is bouncing around
