Default Possible solution to "Stalling and missing" issue

So my GC 2005 5.7l has been stalling and missing once or twice a week. Put it into the dealer for a few days.. stumped? So I took off the plastic cover over the engine and found that the black protective tubes for the wiring in many places has started to fall apart, literally, probably through age and the heat from the engine. I also found that many of the wires had "bonded" together. I removed the plastic tubing, separated the wiring, and added new tubing, sprayed with a little WD40. So far no stalling.. Could I be this lucky? Been 2 weeks I will report back.
