Does anyone know where the oil pressure sensor is on a 1997 Grand 5.2l

Behind the passenger side valve cover, near the firewall, and to the left of the distributor. Supposedly its a real PITA to replace and you may need to find a deep well socket that will fit, or an appropriately sized set of slide lock pliers.

You can get a special socket for removing and installing oil sensors. Makes it a hell of a lot easier.

replaced mine, if you buy a new censor and get the special socket for it chances are that the new socket won't fit the old censor ( that's what happened with me, ended up breaking the old censor right off used vice grips to get the stub out of the engine ) then you can put the new one in
