My 2011 Jeep GC
I've owned Plymouth's, Dodges and Chrysler's since I was able to drive - first car was a '70 Dodge Dart, but I've never owned a Jeep. Until now. The car I traded in for my Jeep was a 2008 Chrysler 300 LTD. which I loved. But the car had some issues with the front end that needed fixing, of course just past warranty date, and needed new tires. All totaled, over $5k in parts and labour. I was ready to bite the bullet and get my baby fixed - then I saw the Jeep GC. And that was it - traded the car in and rode off in my new Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X.
I LOVE THIS VEHICLE - it's like they took the interior of my 300, tweeked it, and then put it in the Jeep. I have nothing bad to say about it. It's comfortable, it's spacious, and it's quick - had it Dyno'd at 308HP @ 6500 RPM, and that's the V6 Pentastar, which is only supposed to have 290HP!!!.
I've read some complaints about gas consumption not being what it should - I got 973 kms out of a complete tank - topped full to bone dry. you just have to watch for the little ECO light on the dash and set your cruise in that area. I was cruising @ 120 km/h @ just around the 2000 RPM mark and that was from Peterborough to Montreal and almost all the way back (wanted to see how far I could get on a tank).
As I've said before, I have no complaints what-so-ever, and I'm really happy with my decision to buy the Jeep.
NOW TO TAKE IT OFF-ROAD!!!

Glad you got pointed in the Right direction.."JEEP" The mileage the car companies say you will get and the actual mpg is never the same. I believe the way they calculate it is the vehicle is going down hill, behind an 18 wheeler, only the driver, no equipment, under 50mph.. maybe you'd get what they predict.
