Knock or clunk
I have a 94 grand Cherikee and when I turn tight at slow speed as into driveway front end clunks as if something is binding . It has new front cv axles and still does it. What do you think it is ? Im stumped. Thanks

Look, I'm not one to throw parts at noises until they go away, I would either take it to a trusted professional tech. or figure out the problem before you spend any more money. The noise you are hearing may be an anti sway bar link that's shot. That is a cheap item but often overlooked if it has not fallen off yet.

I wasnt trowing parts at my Jeep the 2 cvaxles were bad so I replaced them and the bearings were also bad. I had it in storage for 5 years. The clunking was from bad spindle bearings

Re: Knock or clunk
yeah when that VC goes out it can cause the clunking noise,
this is because the front wheels have turn faster than the back, and the outside tire has to spin even faster too!
with the viscous coupling in the transfercase locked up its going to actually slow down one of the tires and you'll hear it somewhere in the drive line, usually underneath you in the transfer case, but my 93 Grand is making it in the front diff now, and the sides changes depending on which way im turning...
