Default how long?? all tie rods??

my free time is very short nowadays, so I asked a local garage to quote me to install:
UPPER
tie rod to knuckle / steering drag link / tie rod to pitman arm
LOWER
tie rod outer right / steering adjuster / tie rod outer left
and the steering damper.

I have all new parts ready to go but time is not free.
all can be assembled to close in length, then remove old & install new.
guy told me 5 hours I thought that was a bit much...... looks like I will have to find time to do myself.
jack stand front end, remove tires. remove steering damper, drop 4 nuts holding tie rods, compare length to new parts, install.... I can't see that taking 5 hours.

and yes I know a wheel alignment will be required after too. That I know I cannot do myself.

removing the steering damper will probably be the longest part of the job, for some reason they are always really stuck, they used to do wheel alignments with a piece of string and a broom handle, it's not hard on a solid axle.
