My 94 grand cher, 5.2 has a problem after it sits all night it wont start till I turn key on and wait about 30 seconds for engine light to come on. Then it starts. Can stop and start normal all day. Dealer has put fuel pump, 3 todate. Im at a lose so are they . No codes. Any ideas welcome. I have put new cap rotor wires and plugs

Re: hard starting
Sometimes (most of the time) it's the PCM in the ZJ's that start to go and cause this problem. If your handy with a soldering iron and don't mind doing it yourself I can send you the instructions on how to replace the capacitors or you can try a few junkyards or online dealers for a used one.

Re: hard starting
Had a brain fart and forgot to mention this to you. Before you do the PCM fix try this tomorrow morning. Turn the key to on wait about 1-2 seconds then off, do this twice then try to start it. If it starts right off the bat the problem is in the fuel return line. There is an o ring in there (at the pump) that is supposed to keep the fuel rail pressurized but they sometimes start to leak. If this is the problem then for the price of a new assembly it's easier and cheaper to get used to turning the key a couple times before you start it first thing in the morning. My 04 does this occasionally, where I can crank it till the cows come home but if I flip the key a couple times it fires right up.

Re: hard starting
has a new fuel pump, fuel regulater on fuel rails. Thanks but pretty sure it is a PCM problem. It wont start till engine light comes on, plus both fuel and engine relays chatter before light comes on. Also pictures came but no instructions well wont open
