Doors won't latch when cold
I have a 93 Jeep Grande Cherokee and when it is cold outside the doors won't latch. I have tried adjusting them but hasn't helped. I tried cleaning them with brake cleaner because i thought maybe the grease was causing them to stick. If you push real hard and slow seems to work the best. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?

Re: Doors won't latch when cold
Hi,
Have a '94 wih same problem. I removed inside door panels and screw holding door latch mechanism. Sprayed the heck out of the door latch assembly with a 6% silicone spray lubricant with no more problems since. Don't forget to grease up your rear tail gate door latch. It gets corroded and dry from spray kicking up from rear tires and prevents an enable switch that needs to ground itself in order for rear wiper to run. I used a well shook up can of spray lithium grease and now I have a rear wiper that works.
