Default Difference in American and Canadian ZJs?

I am new to this forum. I had a 95 GC Limited for several years and got rid of it. I'm now looking to replace it and I've found one I like that the owner says is from Canada. It is a 96 Grand Cherokee Limited. The odometer reads in kilometers so I am inclined to believe him but was wondering about all the other options he said were specific to Canadian models. He says the undercarraige is made from thicker steel, it has a limited slip in the rear, and a factory 3" lift. Does anyone know if these things are true? I'd like to be as informed as possible when I go to look at it tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
