Hi everyone...

How do you turn off the automatic door lock function on a 1998 Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited? It locks all the doors at about 15mph, and I'd like to disconnect this function... It's been bugging me for 13 years, and I don't need it to bug me for another 13 years... LOL !!!

Aside from taking the doors off... it means a trip to the dealer...
its something that can be disabled with a DRBIII scan tool...

as far as i know, theres no other way around it... without disabling all the power locks in each door... (then your switches wont work, you'd have to manually lock and unlock all doors

 

If you can find someone with a OTC Genisys it can do it as well, select "disable door locks" in the menu.
