Default 99 grand cherokee

Hi I'm new to this forum, looking at a 99 grand cherokee limited 4.7l loaded with sunroof etc.Just wondering what to look out for on these jeeps,I've taken it out for a drive everything seems to be good, its in nice shape, looks to be taken care of.But it's got 217kms on it,which is probably average for the year.Thought I'd ask here, who else would know better but other grand cherokee owners. Thanks

this is a small forum, i only check every couple weeks there buddy, as for that jeep take it to a shop for a inspection if you have any doubts or want to know more about it, and for that many km thats pretty damn low, its over 11 years old.

and your welcome for the advice.

Problems to look for might include.... Blend door / auto climate control (often fails on limiteds), Heater core / ac evap may need changing or flushing, Rzeppa style cv joints on front driveshaft and front axle shafts may be worn/broken...

those are some of the more common problems, but not an exhaustive list.

The 99's had issues but just remember to check it out well, there have been many TSB's for them and all are work done by the dealer for free regardless if you are the original owner or not. Check out www.wjjeeps.com for a complete list of anything you want to know about the WJ series (99-04) Jeeps.

What engine does it have? If its a 4L with the electric fan then you might want to check the fan to make sure its turning on in both speeds. The fan relays are know for failing.
