Default 2005 Grand Cherokee Electrical problems??

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and was hoping someone could shed some light on a issue I am having with my 05 GC Laredo. I have had the vehicle since new and have had problems with all the indicator lights on the dash flashing on and off, as well as sometimes the gauges will drop to zero and the heater fan quits. I have only noticed this happen in winter and when the vehicle is cold. I have had it in numerous times over the last couple of years at the dealer and they can't find any problems with it. Jason

sounds like a bad/loose body ground connection... if all the symptoms appear at the same time this is most likely the culprit... check the connections between the battery and the body/frame of the jeep (disconnect, sand away any paint so its bare metal on metal)... you should have one going to the engine block, and another to the chassis of the jeep...

Thanks, I'll look into that. When I searched the problem on the internet it seemed that this has happened to others with the 05 GC. Some say they had ignition switches changed, sensors, wiring harnesses, etc with numerous trips to the dealers and the problem still seems to persist for most. The last time I had it at the dealer the Service Electronic Brake like remained on after the flashing episode, they hooked to the computer and it showed loss of signal to two modules in the steering column. They worked on it for 3 hrs and could not find anything wrong.
