Well this has been asked before in the past , everyone seems to have a different solution as to noisy lifters on a 4.7 engine. Mine has approx 115,000km and on start ups (30 sec to 1 min) I get that lifter noise,,, which is just annoying but I want to fix it. whats involved in replacing the lifters and how much $ are we talking about. I tried flushing the engine with different products m same results. thanks .

 

First off are you sure it's the lifters? The purge solenoid is pretty noisy at times and sounds just like lifters/ valves slapping when they are cold.
If it is the lifters and you've already tried seafoam and it didn't help then a call around to a few shops will give you a good idea on cost in your area.
