I have a '93 jeep that needs paint. The paint is delaminating, what I would like to know before I go to body shop is will it need to be stripped down to metal or not.

If your going to do the prep work yourself just use some 220 grit to remove the stuff that is flaking and feather it back into the paint that remains. you should be able to get it smooth enough that you wont feel it when you run your hand over it.
