Default 03 Grand Cherokee Laredo

Getting my G C a boob job today. Installing a IRO 4" long arm with other upgrades to optimize the handling. I was going to install some Goodyear wrangler with Kevlar at canadian tire. 5 tires 1150.00 total. They ordered them in. when i looked at my bill a few days later, the bill showed the GS/A`s. Those were discontinued in 2011. Went to look at the tires today they were the SR/A`s. A freekin lite car tire. Started to think back when i got my W.J. and how much i disliked the good year rubber.

Ended up getting Cooper S/T MAXX, 265 75 16 My question is has anybody installed a iro long arm lift and how do they like it and can some one give feed back on the Cooper S/T Maxx tires.

Cant comment on the tires but I've used IRO stuff for years on all my Jeeps and haven't had a complaint yet. When I do my long arms on the WJ they are going to be IRO.
I've been running Firestone Destination A/T's for the last 40,000kms and I've liked them. I dont have a high opinion of GY after trying to get some warranty work done after only 9000km.

Thats pretty sad 9 K, and no warranty. Took my jeep out to Waiparous yesterday. Took a little use with the extra 4 " but what a ride. The Jeep handled the same as new - maybe a little better - and the tires are great. massive thread and very quiet on the highway. The only thing i have to do now is get my upper ball joint check. Clunking noise front left. I am 5`9"and when i washed my WJ today i had to stand on the back bumper to wash the roof. That was a different feeling. My up grades were to make me feel better not SHORT. Ha Ha joking.

When you installed your tires did you notice a difference in you shifting and R.P.M`s, and any idea if is there any way to do a change in the computer for the tire spec`s ? .

What IRO parts did you add to your WJ.? What kind of 4x4`ing do you do?

Check and make sure your shocks are tight and the springs are seated properly, most times that's the clunk in the front. If it's a squeaking clunk grease your bushings on the front swaybar.
There isn't a way to change the the computer for tire sizes on the WJ's I just use the speed reading on my GPS as my speedometer now. My odometer is way out of whack with the larger tires so I track my mileage on the GPS to.
The majority of my offroading is in the mountains in Crowsnest, BC, Montana, and Idaho. One of the advantages of living 1/2 hour away from the states and BC. I also just like following trails I come across. The pic is of a trail I found outside Terrace BC last October. Followed it for about 60km before it started getting to dark..
I've used quite a bit of IRO stuff for the WJ's, ZJ's and TJ, hard to keep track of all the stuff. My 2 main places I buy though are Kevin's Offroad and IRO, never had a problem with either.

No experience with long arms (yet?) but I will say that canadian tire will never again touch any vehicle I own. I've had so many bad experiences (in multiple cities) with techs who don't know a thing about their work, service managers who are equally useless, and dumb kids 'test-driving' (40 minutes of joy riding) my jeep to 'diagnose' a problem when I did not sign anything in the way of a service/inspection authorization, or in any way give permission to do such a thing....

I hear you there, in 1992 I dropped my jeep off for an oil change. When I went to pick it up that evening the guy said that the bill was 1300.00!!
They claimed the head gasket was blown so they took it upon themselves to repair it. After the police got involved it turned out it was taken for an offroad tour and a ride on the tow truck. Then they tried to charge me for it...
Took a couple years but I still have the 94 GC I bought from the settlement.

P.S. Avoid the CT in Langley, BC
