What's the trick to removing timing sprockets on 258???

Default What's the trick to removing timing sprockets on 258???

258 is on stand. Timing cover is removed. Dots on sprockets are facing each other. FSM just says to remove sprockets and chain as an assembly. Ummmm, ok... if I had super human strength! Cam wants to move with the cam sprocket and the crank sprocket does not budge.

cam sproket needs a little wack on cam , then very easy to remove

crank one needs a puller ......
