Default Dana 20, running in reverse?

Hello: hope to find out ,before i install the transfer case. i want to run a dana 18 and dana 20 ,back to back. the first dana 20 case selects the out put to differential or to front wheel drive out put, used as a power take off. to operate the second case a dana 18 the fwd output of first case is connected to the second case(like a 6x4 setup) because the cases have been converted to divorced and the original input shaft is now used cas an output, and the original reardrive output is now used as the input, the case of course would turn in reverse now anticlockwise the rotations would be correct when hooked up to clockwise rotating trans.they may howl? ,but should stand up to full use?
