When I start the jeep in the am it usually starts. If i go to the store and shut it off it may or may not start. Dropped the gas tank flushed it. Changed the in line gas filter. Replaced distributor cap and rotor. Button. Same issue occurs. When trying to start the jeep its is like it's not getting gas. Even though the gas pump is running.

one very common problem that causes a no start when warm condition and in severe cases a stall when hot is the crank sensor. My son changed four of them in the time he had his xj. A bad crank sensor will not usually set a code.
