Seats out of a grand cherokee fit in a cherokee
As most of you know winters here, and well thanks to some heavy set owners in its past my drivers seat has seen better days. pretty mashed up and ripped along the side, passenger seat is in great shape. Now there is a 98 grand cherokee at the local parts picker its got two very good condition leather, power, heated seats, they are asking the same price as those from the cherokee which are cloth. wondering if I can swap the grand cherokee seats into it, and hard wire something in to control the power and heat, or take the harness if there is one and if it plugs in.
Thanks in advance

Hey Steve.
I was going to do the same thing, but chickened out as I fear the electrical may be a bit of a turd to contend with. I sold my xj and upgraded, so I never made the decision. If you have the bucks and want a change, leather is better than cloth anyway, definatly an upgrade. Then, if you know electronics, or someone who does, give it a try, what do you really have to lose? I do suspect that the harness will do you no good and you'll need to get schematics and hardwire it, but if you search online, you may find someone who's tried it already.
Good luck.
