Here in Alberta the prices run fron 2500-5100 depending on the upkeep and the mods that have been done.

I bought a 1998 2dr XJ with 140,000km on it 7 months ago in Toronto. It was in good shape, no rust, clean as a whistle, drives good. Bought it for $3500. Asking price however was $4500OBO and they needed to sell as they were moving.
I think you could haggle with the lot owner to get a better price.

As for issues,,,,,, no major issues associated with these rigs, pretty reliable(my reason for buying it)
