Default Lock up clutch

My 98 cherokee sport 4L 4X4, 4 speed auto, recently stopped locking up the torque
once the trans oil warms up. It happens about 5-10 minutes after starting to drive. It locks up normally cold, and just stops locking as though a switch were tripped . Has any body experienced this problem? Or are there any ideas what would cause this to happen?

Default Re: Lock up clutch

I know this is no help whats so ever but I quit driving our Wrangler with 2" lift and 285/70/17 tires with the "overdrive" button engaged. The wimpy engine just won't hold the speed and it backshifts everytime you give it gas to hold the speed. I figure this is better , as how many times is it going to backshift before the tranmission says " I'm worn out " !!
