I hope i did not moslead you to the fuses. I can only tell you what the prints say. Un fortunately they dont say where the devices are located. Under the dash is an educated guess. However i assure you that the prints do show a junction box woth 2 10 amp fuses in it. Id be glad to send you the drawing just send your email to me.
Untill then i will try to get an accuratelocation on the fuses. As for the white box you found sou.ds like a relay or something. If it opens easy have a look but dont force anythi.g

Sam,

First, check and verify for certain if there is battery voltage on both sides of fuse F7 in the junction block. I don’t recall exactly where the JB is, but it’s most likely under the driver side of the dash. If you can’t find it, keep looking until you find a plastic block/box with a bunch of fuses in it, and look for F7. If the left license plate lamp is not operating with the head lamp switch ON, and both the left front and rear running lights are inoperative, fuse F7 is likely open. Fuses open because of excessive amperage, typically due to a short to ground.

Check for voltage on both sides of the fuse with the head lamp switch ON. This should be easy to check with a test lamp, but a volt meter will confirm that battery voltage is available. If the fuse is open, replace it with another 10A fuse. If it opens immediately, you have a short to ground somewhere in circuit L77 brown/yellow tracer to the front lamp, or the brown circuit to the rear, referring to the diagram.

You can isolate a short to ground by removing all other power from circuit L77 (remove fuse 7) and use the circuit to ground a powered test light. Referring to the diagram, you can begin disconnecting connectors moving toward the rear of the vehicle to verify if the test lamp turns off. If when you disconnect a certain connector, the test lamp stays on, your short to ground is between that connector and the last connector tested.

If you suspect there is an intermittent short to ground happening, you can install additional 5A fuses in line in different legs of the circuit further back in convenient areas. The next time a lamp (front, rear or license plate goes out, the short will be isolated downstream of the nearest open fuse.

Step 1: is finding the fuse and confirming if it is open or not. If it does have power on both sides, and both the front and rear lights have no power, your issue is likely right at the back of the junction block in connectors C2 and C7 in their respective pins for circuit L77.

Hope this helps and good luck!.

I agree with jeepcacares. Jeep how did you post the diagram. Also your diagram is much simpler to read

Merci Serge!

Scroll to the bottom and you will see a tab that says "manage attachments"; go there and you'll be able to make your attachments.

Sam,

You also mentioned you hooked up your trailer to check the lights.
If the fuse is open and you replace it, and it only opens again when you re-connect your trailer, your trailer lights are either drawing too much amperage or there is a short in the trailer wiring.
