A/C Compressor
Hi there, I'm new to the site and have a question
I have a 1994 Grand Cherokee 4.0L I6. The A/C compressor siezed suddenly the other day and snapped the belt. Seeing as how its winter and I dont need the A/C, can I just get a non-A/C belt and bypass the A/C compressor for the time being? Or is there a difference in the pulley and idler locations from an A/C model to a non A/C model?

Yes, you can go to Napa, Canadian tire, etc and get a belt for the 4.0 without A/C. If your belt routing sticker under the hood doesn't show you the correct routing go to the dealership and they will print it off for you.
