Default What Jeep should i buy?

Hi,
I found a few Jeeps i am interested in buying. I never owned a jeep before but i recently moved to the mountains and want a 4x4 as my 2wd truck isn't cutting it in the snow.
I also want a jeep so when i go fishing i can go down the rough trails to the back country lakes without any worries.

I have found a 2007 wrangler unlimited X jk- 4 door and a 2008 trail rated Patriot for sale for close to the same price with comparable KM's. They are both automatics as my wife refuses to drive a standard.

Any opinions on the two vehicles? I don't expect to do a ton of off roading, but i want to know if the patriot can handle back woods trails... if not i may go for the 4 door wrangler unlimited.

I'm hoping to test drive these tomorrow so i'll come back and check for any advise.

Thanks
TW

My first answer is buy a Zuk, after that, I would have to say go JK if you are going to do any offroading.

Yes the Patriot can handle moderate backwoods trails but personaly I'd get the JK, more room, more aftermarket parts in case Jeep fever sets in.
Mileage would be pretty much the same for either but the JK is a more capable vehicle.
