Hello,

I purchased a 1987 Yj in 2010.
My Jeep has a 4.2 litre engine and a 5 speed transmission.
My Jeep also has a carter Carborator and the transmission is a
Peugeot BA- 10/5. These units have been difficult to find information about.
I am the third owner of this Jeep and have spent the last 6 months
restoring and repairing the Jeep. The Jeep had been vandalized and
parts stolen from the previous owner. I have recently certified and insured the jeep for
road use. I hope to use it as a pleasure vehicle, as I do not have a roof on it at this time.
My Jeep budget has been quite small, however the wreckers have been very help full.

I hope to meet a few fellow 1986 to 1989 YJ/Wrangler owners to meet with and compare notes on service and maintenance. I also would greatly like to see how the vacuum lines of a 1987 YJ are connected as I was only able to guess at the proper connections of the lines. I am located in the East part of Toronto.
