This is a first for me i have seen guys running 38" tires and never having any problems, some running chromoly axles (super 35 kits) but thats the extent of it

 

The Dana 30 it the JK is much different. The shafts are closer to that of the Dana 44 but the tubes and Cs are well known to bend.

The rear axle in the JK is a dana 44 except for a few in early 07 saharas that came with the Dana 35 but even that was over built(close to the super35 kit)
