New to Jeeps
As mentioned in the title I am new to owning a Jeep. I am also not from Ontario I live on PEI.
I have a '87 Full size Bronco 351W, C6 Tranny Lock right going in the 8.8 next week to keep the 33's truning. I have also owned 2 Explorers, So I am not new to 4wd.
I am picking up a '55 Cj3b at the end of April. I needs a lot of work but i can not complain as I only paid $150 for it.
The Bad:
Engine needs all new rings, the floor in the back needs replacing or a lot of patching, the driverside fender needs replacing, need 1 leaf spring replaced(will replace all 4), and the body needs some rust fixed.
The Good:
The frame is solid, the tranny and transfer case are good, the axels are in good shape and the motor will turn over.
I will know more about the good and bad when I get it home and do the tear down.
This will not be a Quick or easy build, but I am sure it will be worth it in the end.
If anyone has any tips or sugestions all are welcome.

Re: New to Jeeps
Hi Doc Welcome to the Forum. A friend has a Bronco 2, 198?? cannot recall the year, which I believe he is getting rid of, the body is finished, shame the frame is still solid and the motor is unbelievable he goes out in all kinds of weather turns the key and it start immediately. The fibreglass body is nice but so expensive.Well hes got an explorer which hes changed everything on for offroading..this is a masterpiece.
Too bad you two are so far apart you probably have some wild war stories on 4by4 mod's..he's in Mtl.
