Got my first jeep today!
Hi Everyone,
I've already made a few posts here, but I figure since I'll likely be sticking around, an introduction is in order.
I'm originally from Saint John, NB. I moved to Ottawa a while back with my wife and settled in to the urban lifestyle. I do love Ottawa, it's safe, clean, and there is a lot more to do. With that being said, growing up in the maritimes, most of my youth was spent 4 wheelin, snowmobiling, fly fishing, etc. I just turned the big 3-0 this year and it's like a switch went off, I found myself really missing the quiet of being in the woods on the edge of a lake that only me and a few other like-minded folks would be able to access. I chose a career in IT which has treated me well, but I've spent so much time infront of screens the past decade, I've really lost touch.
The recreational lifestyle here in Ontario seems to be much more expensive to be a part of than back home, but today I took the first step of getting back to it, and bought a 2011 wrangler unlimited sport. Next step, find out where all the trails and good fishing holes are!!
Here is my automobile history;
- 1991 Ford Escort
- 1991 Pontiac Sunbird
- 2001 Chev Silverado (loved this one)
- 2001 Pontiac Sunfire
- 2009 Saturn Vue
- 2011 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED
when I see them listed, it makes me laugh, I have hilarious memories in each. Hopefully the Jeep can provide even more!
Anywho,I look forward to getting to know you all, who knows, perhaps someday one of you will pull me out of a pile of mud haha.
Cheers
Chris
