I have a 8500 Superwinch I've had for a few years now, within the first year the cable came off the drum (under warrantee) nice people in Conn. said ship it to us and we will repair..little far to ship..gave me a name of a place near Mtl but couldn't get anyone to reply always busy or no answer. Got it repair elsewhere. Now the other day out winches and the cable frills (broken) Never broke one b/4 warrantee is over so I might look into the rope instead of cable to put on..Just thot I'd put this out here to let you know the cables DO break (most of the time they would go flying though the air) but in this case was not under heavy tension so be real careful when winches

 

On this subject I wonder if a Warn winch drum would fit a Superwinch?? Anyone with knowledge on this?
