Hey people,

I'm looking for a basic wheel spacer package. I'm getting some rubbing on my sway bar from my duratracs and decided that the cheapest fix right now is spacers. Could anyone recommend where to order from to get the cheapest deal on decent spacers? I am a tad inexperienced here so bare with me.

I have been looking into the same thing. I will be going to 33" Dura Tracs on the stock 18" rims on my 2010 JKU. I am planning on 1.5" spacers rather than back spaced rims at first. Just make sure the spacers are good quality aluminum like 6061. Also what size of tire are you running? I have been told once you go 35" or bigger it is best to do an axle swap to something more beefy...

Who tells you axle swap? Some are axke swao junkies, everything has to be axle swap..BULL you can run 33-35's on a d30/35 without any problems, you looking into spacers (I personally wouldn't waste my money on them) For $55 or less you can buy offset rims and save ur bearings. Talk to these people they have a toll free line on their webpage www.national4wd.com..I have a friend that is running 38" swampers on d30/35 he did beef his up now has chroma axles.

Good to know Mr. white ...there is a lot of people who tell me the 35" stuff but I figure for the light off road I do I wasn't planning on axles. good to know thx. Also I thought spacers would be far cheaper than off set 18" rims... but that price is pretty good.

Axle swap is when your talking aggressive offroading, not smart offroading... and agree with Mr White... unless your trying to keep that factory look, swap the rims (heck usually you can find someone that wants that factory look and sell the rims to them and come out even)

but until your talking about locked axles breaking/twisting shafts (which chromoly shafts are for) theres no point to upgrade your axle... (unless its cutting down on some geometry like the high pinion vs low pinion dana 30's) but the proper offset rims put the weight of the rim and tires on the bearings, not a few inches to one side... increasing the stress on the lugs... its like trying to balance a hammer on the corner of the desk, and you have a very short handle

also remember, when you move your axle father out, it gets closer to the lip of your fenders... check for clearance on the other side aswell or trimming will be necessary...

also check your knuckles to see if they have adjustable steering stops, thats a quick fix without having to buy anything, although can reduce your turning radius
