hey, i heard a while back that the older wranglers all had drainage bolts in the bottoms of the floor, since my jk is in the shop i cant really check to see if the new ones still have that feature does any one know whether or not the jks have the drainage bolts? and if so how water proof is the electronics?

Drainage Holes? In my TJ there is one on the floor pan beneath my left heel and in the passengers side, there is one beneath the passengers right heel. Those are the ones I know of. I think there are ones on the floor beneath the back seat passengers feet, I have yet to look for them.

Though they are not bolts, they are rubber plugs. I am sure that the Engineers at Jeep would have put them in the JK.

As for how water proof? I've had my Top Off in a massive rain storm over night and had no problems. Ive left windows open, back windows open, side windows..what ever and maybe a wet A** for a couple of hours, its a Jeep.. who cares???

Now leaving the center console off during a rain storm causes your HU screaming like a dying cat because water got in to it.

What specifically are you wondering?

mainly just if im out wheeling with the top off and see a nice thick stream or something whether i can gun it and not be worried or if some freak rain storm just comes out of left field when im out topless, just wondering whether the jk can take the same as the tj with all the elecronics they put into them, later this week ill be able to see if my jk has those plugs. i just dont want to short anything out inside and for some reason not be able to fire it up or listen to some music
