Canada Jeep TJ 2002

I'm looking for some help. The check engine light keeps flashing. I have code122 (Throttle position sensor voltage low) and 301 (Misfire detected in cylinder #1)--I've tried almost everything and still the my tj runs ruff, idles off beat and gas consumption is great. I've replaced the throttle position sensor, checked the circuit and changed changed all my spark places, connectors and wires. The problem is persistant and runs hot now.

I have a Jeep TJ, 2002, 4.0 (4x4)

Please help and advice or suggestions are appreciated.[/B]

Have you ever put in any "injection" cleaner into the fuel? Try some even the Cdn Tire stuff is good I like it better then some of the brand names, How about changing the fuel filter..It still could be just dirt.. Try the cheapo way first.

Question Re: Jeep TJ 2002

Well, I tried your suggestions...and I am having the same issue. My jeep is running ruff, seems not enough power reaching all switches. I have also cleaned the wires...greased accordingly, fuel treated and nothing worked.

Have you anything else I can go on?

Your help is appreciated.

Some people who have both misfire codes and the TPS code have had some luck with changing the CPS crank position sensor
Good Luck,
Frank

I switched both the TPS & Cam sensor. But in the end it was 1 bad spark plug( cracked ) so if anyone has the same problem check the plug first Thanx

Let me get this right. You had a misfire on cylinder # 1 then changed all of the spark plugs and still had a misfire on cylinder # 1 because of a cracked spark plug?
