I am looking at mounting my CB, i need a custom bracket made because i dont have the right bracket i need.

Was wondering if anyone could help me out with that at a decent cost.

 

My buddy does custom fabrication at his shop. The only problem for you is he's located in Oshawa.

Oshawa is like a 20 - 30 minute drive, my GF's sister lives out there. By the GM plant, that's not far at all.

What I was thinking is to make a bracket that'll actually use the screws in the bottom of the little "bowl" on the top of the dash, right now I have a plastic plate Epoxyed in there to suction cup my cellphone to, I'd just have to relocate it outside of the "bowl" and mount the bracket there, and I could put the CB ontop of the dash instead of having to try and mount a bracket by drilling into the plastic of the overhead area. I could maybe measure out what I need, how much do you figure it would cost? It's a pretty small unit as you know.

thanks, I'll give him a call next week. We got a booster here at my work, I was thinking I might check the CB to see if it atleast fires up and doesn't short out of anything. As far as reception well it's going to be a gamble until I can get it paired up to an antenna. Maybe sometime we can work it out and get it going once i get all the parts together in one place.
