I'd be more concerned about the bugs that are denting the fins on my rad, then what I am cleaning off my ws.But I don't know anything about these deflectors, like to keep them on the ws if I can and add them to the eggs instead of bacon in the morning but then to each his own...lol

personally,I loathe bug deflectors,I'd rather scrape the bugs off my windshield than have a hokey looking deflector decrease the value of my Jeep.
And Mr.White has got a point(besides the one on his head)..I usually fit a mosquito screen behind my grill using ty-wraps to secure it,saves your rad from all that crap.

I agree with the bug screen for the rad definitely... The newer models (JK) do benefit from the bug deflector more for rocks then bugs. The windshield has open edges with no molding making them very prone to cracks from the edges, especially from the bottom where rocks bounce off the hood and hit under the wipers.
The bug deflector will not keep bugs off the windshield..

Exactly it changes the air flow which helps out alot with the rock chips and cracks in the windshield.
