Brake rotors and pads for a 2005 LJ Rubicon
My brake pads are gone, my rotors are warped, I need a brake job! The rear ones started giving signs a long time before the front (which is weird in my book since the front should be more abused than the rear), but now I definitely need to change both. Apart from dealership's OEM rotors and pads (probably a $1500 job) or Canadian Tire fare, what rotors and pads would you recommend? My model year has disc brakes on all four corners and no ABS.
Also, where can I get these around Mississauga, Ontario for a good price?
Thanks a bunch!

When I replaced my front brakes,
I went with drilled and slotted rotors from http://xtremestop.com/
got Hawk brake pads and had everything installed at http://www.justjeeps.com/home.php in Toronto,
fast turnaround and reasonable prices,
noticed a 30% increase in breaking immediately...

holy cow $1500. I don't know if u have Carquest or you could go to Cdn Tire and get them and do the job yourself.. much cheaper for sure.
Go to http://www.national4wd.com website they have a place in Burlington call them and get a quote. I was just talking to the fellow here in Chateauguay where I have been a few times for work and parts and also just for info straight bunch of people.

Don't really have time to do them myself right now and they have to be done. I thought $1500 was a lot, but all the quotes I got hover around that price, so...
its roughly a 2.5 hour job, and only a few hundred in parts... including the rotors... (which are roughly $50-75 each, pads are about $150 for front and rear...)
check out sources like NAPA and other parts stores and see how much your materials actually cost... go to the shop and when they give you that quote then ask their hourly rate, and say well if i buy the parts then it should only cost me this much for parts soo yeah...
(and shops get a discount on parts!)
i mean seriously where are they getting their estimate
