Best and Worst Jeeps
Is there a thread [debate] on the best and worst Jeeps[Rubbi's,TJ's,years, etc]somewhere, cause that's the info. I am looking for?
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
There's not really any best or worse, it's more to do with what you want to use it for and do you want to run it stock or somewhat modified.
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Yes,maybe some modifications. Are the newer one's the way to go,generally? Can the older one's be fixed and modified just as easily? If so, then the salt from winter would be a factor.
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Hold on just have to get the flame suit on... now, there are only 2 kinds of Jeepers. Those that drive WJ's and those that wish they had one. :)
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
UH, Don't follow.
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Best Jeep = WJ. You asked.
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Okay,got it.Thanx.
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Hmm, usually making a comment like that gets a good debate going over the which version is the best. The guys must be taking it easy for the summer. :)
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Ya,what's goin on.Let's giv er guy's and gals.
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
It's because we're all mature people here and we refrain from taking the bait.
BTW..TJ's are the best!!:lol_hitting::owned: |
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Oh god, Beserkur! If we were all mature adults we would be spending quality time with the family and not cruizin the interwebs spending the kids college fund to mod the Jeep more.
And a word on the TJ...:SELLIT:... |

Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Now there is the difference of a TJ owner compared to a WJ owner...I wouldn't sell my TJ for anything.(or almost).
I love my WJ so much I lick it everyday... Could explain why the girlfriend doesn't kiss me anymore................ |

I dunno,I just made it mine, you know?..kinda like that line in the movie "There are many rifles like this, but this one is mine" It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand :cheeky4::lol_hitting::beerchug: |
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Let's see,
2- 2004 WJ's 1- 1998 ZJ 1- 1994 ZJ 1- 1998 TJ Track record is pretty good, only one "special needs" kid..... |
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Nice.I'm still on my first.Although I did spot a YJ for 1000$.Thinking of making a "trail only" rig.
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
That's what's in the driveway now, the CJ-5/7 are both fond memories unfortunately.
My 04 will be a trail rig/ winter driving in the mountains when it's finally done. |
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
OK , i'll bite, just so yaall know, I have had a couple Cj's, XJ's , a few TJ's and now have a rubi JK.
The TJ's are a good rig, but there is nothing like the old stuff. Hot in summer , freezing in the winter lets all the eliments in , bad on fuel , loud n proud . But , my JK has the room I need for all my crap and as we get older I seem to like a few more creature comforts , like doors that close, and soft tops with no huge gaps . Stuff like that . LOL |
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Hey dirtydodge, I see that your slowly working your way though the alphabet! Wait till you get to W! lol
No hood lift, way less road noise, nothing like waking up on a frosty morning on a trail run to heated seats. And the seals don't leak during water crossings. |

Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Ya o4WJGuy ,
Heated seats are nice, having heat is great on it's own. I forgot there was a green YJ with an auto in it as well some time back . Seems to be alot of those turning into bush bashers now . I guess the bang for your buck ..But for now I will wheel the old JK around. After I put the front end back together. Seemed to have some slight Deer in the head lights action that needs to be fixed .&^%^&% factory bumpers ,, got a smitty one on now , lets see how the Deer like that one . |
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
Lucky me I have a garage full of tools so my friends bring their Jeeps (and their friends) by to work on them when I'm around home for awhile. The folks next door have commented on the "convention" that takes place occasionally.
It gives me the oppritunity to see what works well on other models and to see if I can work it into mine. I wonder if jeeprook minds having his thread hijacked like this... |

Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
I personally love the 4.0's. Tough engine and easy to work on.
If the 95 was a private deal try to get the price knocked down for the muffler work, have fun checking out the TJ. |
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
I now Know zj's can b a real pain in the a@#
|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
What part in general are you swearing at today? Car alarm going off randomly, dash and headlights flickering, engine stalling while driving, backend wagging like a dogs tail... I can continue... lol

|
Re: Best and Worst Jeeps
