Default Price Gouge on Navigation System Download

I bought a new 2015 Jeep Cherokee North but could couldn't see paying the huge cost of down loading the Navigation system on my "nav. ready" vehicle.

Since then I have kept track of the price , hoping for a sale or price reduction. In that time the price has risen 3 times.

Why would Jeep charge 3 times the cost to download a program as compared to a decent hand held GPS ? The screen and tech system is already paid for ((ie:nav ready) just needs to hook up to the satellites (same satellites that the hand held units use).

Seems like a cash grab to me.

What isn't now a days - look at the price for parts or accessories they have gone completely off the mark. I guess they figure yu can buy a nice new JEEP so you have bucks for all the parts. Have you tried to contact Chrysler and ask them nothing lost nothing gained.
