East NAV Question - Atlantic Canada Blues

Hi Everyone, this is my first post. I have looked all over the internet for help as well, and I must say, it's been a frustrating search for a solution. I have an 06 Grand Cherokee ltd that has the built in NAV. I bought it a month ago, and love it so far. When I bought it, they said it had NAV so I didnt bother to see if Nova Scotia was mapped. Guess what, it isn't! So, i ordered the $200 USD newest AI NAV dvd from Navteq hoping that Nova Scotia (and PEI and NF) would be on there. It isn't. The crummy thing is, I called Navteq and they basically said it was too bad. I called Alpine, and they sent me an AF disc in hopes it had some kind of firmware on there that would make the new AI disc show Nova Scotia. No go either. So, I sit here with a $200 coaster. Haha! Is there anyone at all in Nova Scotia that has their factory NAV unit working so that it shows Halifax on the map? I even called Chrysler to complain, as everyone is saying it is them that decides which citys to put on the map. To be honest, it's kind of funny when you look at the map---Canada pretty much cuts off in the middle of New Brunswick. Anyone out there have a solution, besides buying a new deck and/or using a $100 gps that I have to stick to my windshield? Thanks in Advance, Mike

Hi Mike, I'm in Hamilton and just bought an 06 liberty with an rb1 radio nav deck.I tried to order the AI disk off the Mopar web site and they cancelled my order stating that they no longer ship to Canada. The price was $189 us. but when I went to the dalers accessories store they had it but wanted $300 can.Do they really think anyone would buy one? Sorry your disk didn't work out. I did find a torrent for the AG version and downloaded it,

Does your AG version show Halifax on the map? I have AF and AI dvd's as "coasters" in my glove box. I guess the AI would be beneficial if/when I travel to Maine. Haha!
