ESS car alarm?
I have a passive alarm in my Jeep with starter disable, cool cause no one can drive away with it but you can open the door and take all you wish since this thing does nothing else.
The brand is ESS and i can not find any info on it to reprogram it to make some noise other then when arming. I need help!!! or a dog???

Re: ESS car alarm?
All this security devises are a joke. If a thief wants the vehicle he will find a way. Here in quebec they go to the shpg center with a flat bed truck and pick up the whole thing. So my suggestion is park it into a light pole or tree, turn the wheel, put it in 4 low 4 wd. in gear, and use a "club" on the steering wheel. This will not prevent the thief from stealing ur jeep but it will slow him down.

Re: ESS car alarm?
Well i use to live in Quebec and it was not that bad but now i live in the Car Thief capital of Canada..Vancouver, where they will break a door lock for a couple of quarters on the dash and leave the radio in place. I have insurance if they take it away but sick of replacing windows and door locks and sunglasses... I like to see them run as the alarm blasts away.

Re: ESS car alarm?
So i did follow the advise and left the doors unlocked and took the top off (common to be stolen) and now the bastards stole an old jacket inside and the driving lights off the bumper, and to top it off the drive of my boat that was parked in front of the Jeep. I'm sure the winch is next..
