I just got a 2006 TJ Rubicon and it has the factory subwoofer in the center console. I am wondering what size the factory sub is. I looked on Crutchfield last night and it said it is a 6.75" and the local audio store told me its a 6.5". Which one is it? Would a guy be able to squeeze an 8" sub in there? Because I haven't found an aftermarket 6.5 or 6.75 inch sub I would like to put an 8" in there. Unless anyone here knows of and aftermarket sub that will fit in the factory location?

I have an '06 not Rubicon, but full load I think? I have A/C, temp mirror hard top with rear wiper and defog. Space is such a premium in this thing and I wouldn't want to lose my center console locking storage. Mine doesn't have a sub.

Get a Bazooka Tube sub box and mount it to the fender wells in the back.
