Default 86 Scrambler

Recently America has been overwhelmed with fads. First we had potato chips fried in fat-free oil, then the 24-hour Brooklyn Miracle Diet, and finally kids careening all over the sidewalks on shiny scooters. Fortunately for us, Jeep fads generally do not cause the discomfort associated with body fluid leakage or images of small children bloodied by wacky-footed ollie flips. Jeep trends for 2001 are shifting towards custom tube frame rigs that are light and stout. Case in point: Ken Shupe’s rock Scrambler. Ken has built a few good Jeeps over the years, and this latest edition is a good example of what can be done. As for Jeep fads, we like what works, and Shupe’s 2,543-pound ride sure does.
