Plowing with a Jeep Liberty?
You could plow but it would require a lot of upgrades and would need some fabrication. I recently installed a Setina PB-400 push bar and found that once the tow hooks were removed, there really was not a lot of strong enough metal back in there. More like thin aluminum to mount to. My brackets for the push bar utilized two bolts and a small bracket through the holes for the tow hooks. Their inside mounting bracket bolt set up should have clamped around the width of the small front square frame, so my push bar had upward movement enough that it turned the push bar into a hood ornament, until I made some modifications.
Since pushing requires forward force and since my push bar was moving upwards the fabrication included using a steel 3" angle iron welded to the bottom of the push bar. Then a 1" square steel post was welded to the front skid plate, the post then got bolted to the angle Iron. That made the pushing strength excellent and of course their is no more upward or downward movement.
I would recommend that a P/U truck would be a better choice for mounting a snow plow. Not to say that the jeep could not do it, but the mounting for the model of plow would be paramount...expect fabrications..
Hope this helps.

I can relay the "official" word from the 05 Liberty Users Manual.... Do not attach any type of plow or pushing mechanism to your Jeep Liberty.(Not a direct quote.) As TC said, mods are definitely involved.
